Hills, Hills and more Hills!!!

Today, we attempted to do the impossible again. As our riders decided that they wanted to do hill training, we embarked on a mini tour the mini hills in the western part of Singapore. Care Rider Jeremy, Alan and Zhi jie were panting up numerous hills and and progress has been good. After a second attempt since the last ride, they were no longer so daunted by the length and steepness of the slopes and took them like ducks to water.

Care Rider Jeremy was made excellent progress as he managed to surmount all the hills and even motivated the others! Great Job!!! Care Rider Alan struggled hard but never gave up. He even realised that smoking was sapping his stamina! Later that night, he decided and committed to quit smoking! Kudos to Care Rider Alan!!! Care Rider Zhi jie in my opinion was the fittest of the lot. Riding an old steel bike and carrying a back pack with water he followed us on all our climbs and followed through till the end. Marvelous and inspiring!

All in all, the ride was good and everybody enjoyed themselves.

Next up will be more detailed planning of the club structure and rules and also sourcing for funding and manpower resources. Wish us luck!

Ride Details:
Distance: 15.05km
Avg Speed: 11.7km/h (mostly climbs)
Ride time: 1hr 16mins

Cheers,
CRS Team
